Distillation Column Packing Material
Packing a column with copper scrubbers will increase the purity of whatever is being distilled. It does so by causing a slight natural reflux in the column. For our commercial customers: copper packing will also remove sulfur compounds from the vapor, which produces a better tasting spirit.
Suggested quantities:
- 1-2 scrubbers for a 1 gallon still.
- 4-8 scrubbers for a 5 gallon still.
- 5-10 scrubbers for a 8 gallon still.
- 7-13 scrubbers for a 10 gallon still.
